I recently did an interview with Voyage Dallas where I talked about my photography beginnings if you wish to check it out:
Voyage Dallas Interview
“Heart-crafted”- personal, messy, unstyled and real.
My photography style is simple: I never focus on creating a “perfect” image. I love imperfections and find a lot of heart, truth and life in the little fleeting moments.
I live in Dallas, Texas in an updated 1920’s house that spills in natural light every day and has a bright red kitchen sink. I share my home with my boyfriend, Danny, our cat, Mars and dachshund child, Oliver. On an average day you can find me working in my home office with a cup of coffee and Oliver close by. Our house always has music playing, between my jazz playlists and Danny’s clarinet playing (he is a classical musician). I love new experiences and adventures, but I am truly a homebody at heart. Nothing makes me happier than cooking dinner with my boys, a glass of wine, and a good playlist .
I always look like I could use a hairbrush and I’m terrible with frequent hair trimmings. My instax mini and retro 35mm film camera are my two favorite camera’s.
I have been taking pictures since I was a kid and if there is one thing I have learned and seen is that life moves very, very quickly. “The days are long, but the years are short”. Knowing that each moment is fleeting pushes me to capture life with sensitivity and tenderness.
